The Great Commission

"And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'"

Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)

Why Have a Church Vision?

The church vision is a collective statement regarding the direction and purpose of Berea Baptist Church.  The goal is to create a Biblically-based, welcoming, inviting congregation and facility to allow guests to feel comfortable enough to invest themselves into the Kingdom of God and the work being done at Berea Baptist Church.

Ultimately, without a united focus and direction, missions and ministries will perish because they don't connect to the greater purpose that Berea seeks to serve.

Written and proclaimed by Pastor Joshua Lathan and received by the church on August 19, 2018.

Berea Baptist Church exists as a Christ centered, Biblically focused, Spirit led, community of believers, who prioritize the Gospel of Christ, promote an ever-deepening personal relationship with Jesus Christ, produce effective Christ followers that share God's love inwardly and outwardly, and whose purpose is to worship God and glorify His name in all that is said and done.

The Vision

For Berea Baptist Church to become a true movement of God. We see a church who aims to be a part of something bigger than itself. A church who stands as a lighthouse and beacon of hope for Mooresville and the surrounding area. A church who is intentional about reaching all families, youth, and children. A church who walks by faith and not by sight. We see a church who desires to grow in Christ, hungry for God and His Word, and will do whatever it takes to be effective and efficient for the glory of God.
